By May 10, as the character artist, I will have evidence of making sprites of turrets and tanks by following creating a simple character for Session 5.

Skills Commentary
I started the session by making some basic turret designs and basic enemy designs with little textures. Then I made the textures better and started working on some better character looks. I made some new towers like the tornado and new enemies like the boats and submarine for a curtain map.
POST-PRODUCTION – REFLECTION
21st Century Skills
Ways of Thinking (Creativity, Innovation, Critical Thinking, Problem Solving)
I was creative when designing characters by making them unique. I was innovative by thinking of new unique ideas like submarine enemies that go underwater and the only way to get it out is by using the tornado tower to pull it up. I was a critical thinker by observing things for ideas like looking at other people’s games and getting cool ideas from them. I was a problem solver by fixing mistakes I made by restarting or thinking through the design.
Ways of Working (Communication & Collaboration)
I communicated with my team every day by telling them to stay on task and talking to them about what they are working on. I collaborated with my teammate’s ideas and made them a thing.
Tools for Working (Info & Media Literacy)
I played Bloons Tower Defense 6 for some ideas for the game, and I used Google for finding stuff.
Ways of Living in the World (Life & Career)
During this session, I learned some life skills like collaborating with other people’s ideas to come up with a great idea together.
Reactions to the Final Version
Some advice that Hunter gave our team was to make our maps bigger and make more pleasant sounds that people wouldn’t get tired of listening to or get headaches from. Other than that he said that our game was looking great. Colten said that our game was really fun and he liked it a lot.
Self-Evaluation of Final Version
Overall I think that this session was the best one so far and next session we should continue working on the same game so that we can make it better.
We started out by making a simple map. Then we added a character to go through the map. We added a shrink, and grow mechanic for the character after we made it. We then added effects for dying and winning. After that, we added an AI racer to try to win against. Next, we added a menu screen so you could go to different levels. Then we finished the other levels and added a timer to beat the levels.
Proposed Budget
$1.49 per person for the 19 days we had to work on this game and the resources we had to use.
The Menu I made appears when you first enter the game. You can choose between 3 levels to play through. The character you play is a blue robot horse.
POST-PRODUCTION – REFLECTION
21st Century Skills
Ways of Thinking (Creativity, Innovation, Critical Thinking, Problem Solving)
I was creative with the art of the horses and thinking of the idea for the game.
Ways of Working (Communication & Collaboration)
I communicated with my team by talking to them and asking them to work on something if they don’t know what to do.
Tools for Working (Info & Media Literacy)
We used Construct 3 and watched YouTube tutorials to learn how to use tools on Construct 3.
Ways of Living in the World (Life & Career)
I can work better with people and help them if they are struggling to get everyone back on task.
Reactions to the Final Version
Jessica said, “I love the fire on the horses when they move, it really tells you that they’re cars”.
Self-Evaluation of Final Version
The game I made is fun because there are multiple levels to play and you can try to beat your time, every time you replay a level. There are cool effects and cool-looking characters. This is a good game and a variety of players can have a good time playing it.
By October 14th, as part of team # as Writer / Menus / Producer, I will have evidence of making a list of sounds needed for the game in the GDD by following this tutorial for session 1.
I made a menu that you can move the character in. You can move with the arrow keys and choose to start the tutorial and then go to the first level, or you can go straight to a challenge level.
POST-PRODUCTION – REFLECTION
21st Century Skills
Ways of Thinking (Creativity, Innovation, Critical Thinking, Problem Solving)
I can now think of ways to solve problems.
Ways of Working (Communication & Collaboration)
I can work better with people I just met because I am less shy now. I can even work better with people I don’t like that much.
Tools for Working (Info & Media Literacy)
I can now use Construct 3 to make fun games.
Ways of Living in the World (Life & Career)
I have an opportunity for a career in game design or I could just make games for fun.
Reactions to the Final Version
Hunter- The game is bad for working on it for 3 weeks and it could have Copywrite issues.
Jace- add sounds
Self-Evaluation of Final Version
The game is basic but can entertain people for a little while.
Grammar and Spelling
I used Grammarly to help me write with correct grammar. I also used spellcheck to see if I spelled everything correctly.
